In this video, we will try to find out the concept of al-Umur al-kulliya, also known as universals. We explore how these universals, despite not having concrete existence themselves, are perceived and understood by the mind. While they remain hidden in terms of concrete existence, they play a significant role in determining and influencing each individual existent. Concrete existents are intrinsically linked to universals, which are always intelligible. The universals manifest from the perspective of concrete existents but remain hidden in terms of their intelligibility. This interdependence between concrete existents and universals is unbreakable, as the universals cannot exist concretely without being intelligible. Whether the concrete existence is temporal or not, its relationship with the universals remains the same. The universals act as the source of determining rules for concrete existents based on their essences, much like the relationship between knowledge and the knower or life and the living.
